From London Preview to ATEI its Show Season all the Way!

Sega Amusements is preparing to kick start its show season in true dominant style as it looks ahead to having presence at 10 international shows over the next 5 months.

The European and American territories that fall under the auspices of Paul Williams will notably be at London Preview, IAAPA and finally in January, with its largest stand ever, at ATEI.

The London Preview, being a focus for many trade players post summer season, will see three new important pieces for winter 08 onwards. Firstly continuing on from the success of SEGA RALLY 3 deluxe that was launched in June with 62” monitor and full motion, the title will be shown in a new twin cabinet as part of its global launch. Featuring exclusive licensed World Rally Cars and a revisit to one of the original Rally 1 stages, the software is highly developed into a fine driving game that is worthy of it heritage. The twin version with its 32 inch screens can be linked up to 6 players.

Secondly Sega brings a Hollywood Blockbuster to the amusement sector with the launch of RAMBO – a two player deluxe gun game. Based on the hit movies the big screen game features real movie footage spliced with Sega’s legendary graphics powered on the Lindbergh board. The cinematic feel is enhanced with a bass woofer speaker. “Seeing Sty Stallone’s famous character straight from the movie has a big impact when you first see it in an arcade, it certainly makes it a draw for players. Added with the big recoil machine guns the game is set for box office success”, stated Sega’s Justin Burke.

Focusing on the success of redemption and the popular licensed character Sponge Bob, Sega will show its successfully tested SPONGE BOB TICKET BOOM. A simple game that is good fun for the player and gives and great value for money – the formula for any successful redemption game. The big and bold machine features a ‘runway’ of running coloured lights that the player must jump on at the right time, all under Sponge Bob’s instruction. Various test sites over the summer have tested with income levels up to £800 and averaging at £500 per week.

Commenting on the next UK show Sega’s Justin Burke commented, “It’s always great to be at London Preview and this year is no exception as we have a strong line up to offer. Along with the new titles we will show UFO Catcher, Mini Rider 2, Shoot This Win This and have representatives from Sega Total Solutions, Sega Prize Europe and the sales team for all territories on hand. There will be an enhanced line up for IAAPA and finally we have yet again increased our stand size at ATEI as our title line up by them will have grown even more – all good news to make 2009 a good year for all concerned”.
