Simulateurs / Brancher un volant Sega Model 1 ou 2 sur un driving force Logitech

I just tried using the usb port and it works with need for speed, but not with outrun. But its no difference with using the usb or the ps2-port. It seems like the ps2 is sending out a weaker signal than the computer. I have read somwhere that a 10uf capacitor on the clitch output might help, but I cannot feel anything different. I might have connected the capacitor wrong. Can anyone explain in detail how it should be connected? But again it works perfectly when testing it with the computer... The instructions says that long cables might give weak ffb, and the only long cable left is the 1,5m cable from the ps2 to the l2m2 card. The usb cable used with the computer is also the same length.

Is there any adjustments or components on the l2m2 that can be changed to get a stronger ffb?

The usb port on the ps2 is for keyboard and mouse, and it wont work with the logitech steering wheel.

Hi, there is no test mode on the ps2. I have tried two different ps2 consoles. It almost seems like the problem is that the signals sent through the ps2-plug is different than the signals sent through the usb. I am going to borrow a ps3 today, because this console used the usb-plug.

Have anyone else here used the l2m2 with a ps2?

My problems with the weak ffb, can it have anything to do with the use of the playstation plug instead of the usb? As mentioned it works perfectly with the usb and the logitech software.

Have anyone here used the l2m2 with a playstation 2?

Hi guys, i have gotten my l2m2 card to work now, and it works like a charm when I test it with the logitech software. The force feedback is strong. But when I hook it up to my playstation 2 the ffb gets very weak. Do you have any ideas why this happens?

Can you please explain why the 5Kohm potentiometers will work with the logitech steering wheel and pedals?

Why do they change to 50 and 100Kohm potentiometers when they do the happ/logotech hack? I have measured the potentiometers from my logitech driving force EX and they are 50 and 100Kohm. I think its weird that it should work with 5Kohm when the original ones are 50 and 100Kohm.
I think its especially weird for the pedals which does not run through the L2M2 PCB.

Thanks for the quick answer.

Hi, Im sorry for not writing in french. Im from Norway so my french is not good.

Is it necessary to change the original 5Kohm potentiometers on the steering and the pedals to 100Kohm and 50Kohm, to make the L2M2-hack work? Or does is work with the original 5Kohm sega potentiometers?
