Hi, sorry for writting in English! I am going to try out this mod and wanted to make sure I understand everyting. I have read the whole of this post through google translate.

From my understanding there are two ways to make the happ work. First way through an AMC amp - supply the logitech PCB with 12v and the AMP with 24v. Am I correct in understanding that this way will produce vibrations when the wheel is centered?

The second way is to make a custom PCB as shown here. Which version is best as several are shown?

My main question is which creates the best results? Is it possible to avoid the vibration with the amp or the custom pcb? I currently have a logitech driving force ex and a AMC 30a8 amp so I will be trying that out, but wanted to know if the custom PCB will create better results?

For the vibrations, if you use the wheel with the PC like me, you can with the setups of the games avoid these vibrations. I haven't tested yet the Aganyte card so I don't know if the vibrations dissepear completely...

Aganyte, il y a toujours avec ta carte les petites vibrations perceptibles quand on est proche du point central en mettant un doigt sur le volant lorsqu'on active le retour au centre du volant ?

If I can give you an advice, I think you can start your mod with the AMC. You have everything at hand, you just need some wires... a little bit of time and patience... and it's done
Stef could give you the settings for AMC.

Test it, and if you're not satisfied, it will always time to make an Aganyte's board.

Am I right in thinking I'll have to change these settings everytime I change game in the logitech control panel?

I've only just found this post that uses the sega steering unit. Does anyone know how this compares to the happ as I have two of these from my Daytona cabs. I need to read that post properly to see what's involved to make it work but may make one of those to compare with the happ as at some point I intend to make both my Daytona cabs work.

If you use sega model wheel, you must use too the Aganyte special board.

Aganyte has tested the two steering wheels sega and Happ and the Sega is very powerful. But the Happ is very good too. The more easy system is the happ and it's very cool with arcade games like Daytona etc...

You have not to change everytime you play the games with this system but yes the Logitech control panel can make that for the differents games if you are not happy with the standard AMC setup that you have made the first time...

You will just play arcades games Daytona, Sega Rally etc...with emulator or PC games too ?

I have read the sega post and I think I am going to give that a try. I have two cabinets that I want to get working so I will compare happ with amc and sega with aganyte's board. If I prefer the happ I will look to make aganyte's board for that.

Faut que je le teste un peu plus en profondeur ce volant, mais il a l'air assez sympa

Vi vi, il l'est 

Mais je dois tout de même avouer que la rotation est quand même moins fluide qu'avec un HAPP... Plus je l'utilise, et plus je me dis que le moteur est sous-dimensionné.
Certes, il est puissant, mais pour atteindre cette puissance, ils ont dû mettre des aimants énormes. Et du coup, on sent quand même légèrement les crans lorsque les effets sont faibles.

C'est pas forcément gênant, mais si on y fait attention, on le sent.


J'ai hâte de pouvoir comparer avec le HAPP...

Vu que je n'ai que ça comme volant, je vais faire avec... C'est un achat complètement imprévu donc j'ai quasi aucun jeu pour le tester... Obligé de taxer un GT5 à un collègue pour essayer

Tiens, tu me diras si il dé-calibre en pleine course.
J'ai un problème et d'autres ont le même avec plusieurs volants : Tu commences la course avec le volant au centre et tu finis avec avec une bagnole qui tire méchemment à droite 
Et ce n'est pas une histoire de physique

Heureusement que j'ai jamais eu ce genre de problème sur ma borne, ça à l'air bien casse c....
